We decided to splash out a bit and stay in a nicer hotel for two days. When we got here we got a voucher for a free 1hr Thai massage and vouchers for a BBQ dinner. The rooms are do nice, with comfy beds, free cakes and the nicest shower and bathroom!! We dumped our stuff and went for breakfast. Sadly we ended up at a really crappy place and we were all still hungry after! We went back to the hotel and went for a swim in the pool- so refreshing as its still so hot here!! After a shower (the best shower we've had for a good while!) we went for our massages. A bit painful and very ticklish at point, but soooo relaxing!! And we got some ginger tea at the end :) after lunch we went to see two temples. They were nice to see, but they had some fibreglass replicas of monks. But it took us a little while to realise they were fake (they were such good replicas!!) that it was a tad scary! We stopped for fruit shakes on the way back to the hotel and then went to grab dinner and headed off to the night market. The market was crazy and full of bugs! After having the best banana shake and a bit of wondering, we headed back to the hotel to meet josh. The next day, after our lovely buffet breakfast we got a taxi to a temple, up a massive mountain- about a half an hour drive! And then to get to the temple was another 300 and something steps- but it turned out to be easier than we expected. After the hefty walk we went back to the hotel and chilled in the pool for a bit. After grabbing some lunch we decided to go the the day market, but for once we were early and people hadn't finished setting up yet. So after a good few games of cards in the cafe we did a bit more present shopping- even though we have no idea how we would fit it in our bags! For dinner we used our BBQ vouchers- and I finally had the chance to order corn on the cob!! And then went back to the night market to grab last minute bus and pieces- luckily there were so many less bugs! The next day we had to check out of the lovely hotel :( me and mcall decided to go to the zoo, and it was (in the words of gaz) mahussive! We did get to see pandas which was amazing ad we fed some giraffes and got to see some very cute elephants. We met the others back at the hotel and went to subway for lunch (were so cultured!) before getting a mini bus to Pai.
