So after a bit of a wobbly boat journey, we arrived in koh lanta. We all had to squeeze into a tuk tuk (a very pimped out one at that! :P ) with all our bags, when half the space was taken up by a massive speaker! So we headed to the bungalows where we were staying, music blaring and tourists laughing as we drove past, it was pretty hilarious! When we arrived at the bungalows it seemed pretty cool and quirky! Hammocks, cushions and loads of books in the restaurant area. We dumped our stuff in what seemed like a pretty cool room, with a ladder up to one bed and all with mosquito nets and then had some dinner in the restaurant and then played cards. We headed back for bed and our cool bungalow had lost its charm when there were a good few cockroaches and our mosquito nets were full of holes and I may have had the worlds oldest mattress and pillow :/ after josh had lied the cockroaches, we snuggled in our sleeping bag liners in bed. Then turns out the fan wouldn't reach my bed so that was a very hot and not very nice nights sleep!! The next morning we had a bit of a lie in and then got some breakfast from the restaurant. Me and mcall did some Bali organizing and josh and Emily headed to the beach. We went to join them, but typically just a we'd put our towels down, it started to rain! So we took cover in the restaurant and read and chilled for a bit. Then we went for a walk, but as it was low season loads of stuff was closed. We grabbed some snacks in a bar further up the beach then carried on wondering. That evening wed planned on going to the market for dinner but after walking for aaaages and not finding it we have up an found a really lovely restaurant near the hotel. Then we went back and after a while decided some midnight snacks would be good. So we took a little trip to 7-11- where you can get hot milo for 14b! Much nicer than at the bungalows aswell! Then we headed to bed. More cockroaches tonight. So when I got inside my mosquito net I thought I should probably check it was properly tucked under the mattress and cockroach safe. Only a I was doing a cockroach ran along the inside of the net!! :O! So after clambering out of the net and a bit of squealing, josh had to come and kill it for me. Free that horrible incident I turned the lights out and head torch on went back in the net. Just before I did I said "guys, what I'd there's another one?" but we all agreed it was really really unlikely. So as I hoot in the net, head torch shining on the back of the net, THERE'S ANOTHER ONE!!!! Urgh! Poor josh had to get back out of bed and sort this one out to! Safe to say that was one of my worst nights sleep! I think I'd rather get bitten stupidly by Mosquitos like the first night, than see another disgusting cockroach!! The next morning we had another lie in and then after a chilled morning got a tuk tuk to another, nicer beach further up the island. We pretty much had it to our selves which was really nice! I had a lovely afternoon listening to Scott mills podcasts- didnt realise how much I missed the radio!! :P that evening we found a really nice and cheap restaurant for dinner- they did a very good pad Thai! Then back to 7-11 to get a hot milo before heading to bed. Luckily tonight my mosquito net was cockroach free!! The next day we literally did nothing. Except read, play cards and listen to the radio. Then we got to Skype Rach and Siriol which was nice :) we'd planned to go to a nice restaurant tonight for one of our last meals before we split up :( but free finding out it was about 40 mins away we decide to opt for a bar up the beach instead :) we then had our last night in what was first quirky but know dreaded bungalow. Luckily the net was cockroach free, but I literally could not get to sleep at all! Not even for a minute! Didn't help that the minibus to Krabi wasn't the comfiest for sleeping :/
