We arrived in Pai in the evening, it looked quite nice and small but was also hippy central. We found somewhere to stay and then headed out for dinner and then drinks- the bar had the funniest, friendly staff :) the next day we had a bit of a lie in. We'd planned on going to the hot springs, but after expensive taxi costs, decided to go to the waterfall instead. It was pretty quiet when we got there which was nice. The water was pretty cold and a bit dirty but it's was refreshing! Josh found another pool bit of the waterfall higher up and so we climbed up to it. It was insanely slippy and on the way to sit in the pool, I slipped and nearly fell down the waterfall!! Pretty embarrassing, and quite scary! So after making it safety back to the ground we went for lunch at a bakery and ended up staying for pretty much the rest of the afternoon, I even had a bit of a nap. That evening we went for dinner and headed back to play cards. The next morning we got a mini bus back to Chiang mai so that we could get an overnight train to Bangkok. I was surprised at how comfy the train was!
