On May 22, 2014 Megan, Lucah and Bailey took John and I to Sydney airport for a most exciting holiday.

We caught Cathay Pacific leaving at 2pm for a 25 hour plane trip to London with a 3 hour stopover in Hong Kong.

We arrived at Heathrow at 6:30am today to a welcoming committee of 4 with a big banner. They don't do anything by halves!! This the start to a fun filled holiday. They have organised so much to do but also full of relaxation.

The English weather has lived up to itself by being a cool 15 degrees with showers. The traffic going to Emsworth is no different to driving the M4 in peak time with delays due to accidents. Lucky they were on the London bound motorway. The countryside is green following all the rain.

The streets of Emsworth where Trevor and Dee live are very narrow with parked cars taking one of the lanes available to drive on. There was a lot of nipping in and out between cars.

To avoid falling asleep we decided to take a walk by the harbour and feed the swans and ducks. You really need your overcoats today. It was blowing a gale. Fortunate that Dee had extra coats for us to wear.

We stopped at the Lord Raglan pub for a drink. It is a small old pub by the harbour which was flooded ealier this year when southern England was hit by the bad storms. We met the publican who was very friendly and gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate our arrival in England.

We have spent the afternoon relaxing and catching up with messages. Hopefully you can all keep up with our holidays and get an idea of places we go. Hopefully I will have some photos to upload next time.
