Left our campsite in Barcdy at 9.30am to travel south to Seend, our next stop. It has been raining since early this morning and did not change much the whole trip.
We traveled mostly on the main roads making it difficult to take photos. Each time there was a photo opportunity high trees or hedges obscured the view.
We stopped at Little Chef in Shrewsbury where to our delight there was an excellent WiFi signal. We have been struggling to get decent Wifi and 3G since leaving Emsworth. John watches us franticallly using our WiFi time whilst having lunch to catch up with everyone and posting blogs. We don't know when we will have another opportunity to catch up.
We have been weaving between Wales and England today and finally left Wales over the Second Severn Crossing. I tried taking photos but the views were obscured by the guard rail and rain. I did get two shots though.
Once we got closer to our destination we started looking for somewhere to have tea. The last 5 miles was real farming country so we were surprised that not 50 yards from our campsite was the Three Magpies Inn. It also has the old red phone box. Dr Who!!!!
The campsite is very large and well kept. We are close to the amenities so we don't have to go too far in the rain. We had to walk about 100 yards at Barcdy. Not nice in the rain.
We had dinner at the Three Magpies Inn. It is so nice to see traditional decor that I have often seen on TV. It's always so cosy and inviting. The food was good but not as good as the Black Boy Inn in Wales.
We are really having a great time and will keep you all posted. xxxx
