Left our campsite at Barcdy to travel south to Bath at 9.45am. It has been raining since early this morning. The weather didn't change much throughout the whole trip to our next campsite at Seend.
We travelled mostly on the main roads making it difficult to take photos. Each time there was a photo opportunity high trees or hedges would obscure the view.
We stopped at the Little Chef at Shrewsbury where to the delight of everyone we had an excellent WiFi signal. We have been struggling to get decent Wifi since leaving Emsworth. John sits there watching us frantically using our time whilst having lunch to catch up on everyone and posting the blogs. We don't know when we will have another opportunity to catch up.
We weaves in and out of England and Wales and finally left Wales over the Second Severn Crossing. I tried taking photos but the view was conveniently obscured by the guard rail. Did get 2 shots though.
Once we got closer to our destination we started looking for somewhere we could have our tea. The last five miles was real farming country and low and behold not 100 metres from the campsite was the Three Magpies Inn. Great for dinner.
The campsite is very large and well kept. We are close to the amenities so we don't have to go too far in the rain.
We went to the Three Magpies Inn for dinner. It is so nice to see the traditional decor that I have often seen on TV. It is always so cosy. The food was good but not as good as the Black Boy Inn in Wales.
We are really enjoying ourselves.
