30 AugOk now this was so long ago but I realise that if I dont match up on things I really never will so here goes again…..after arriving at 5am in Cusco we got a taxi to the main square and spent the next hour looking for this hostel that had been recommended to us by Dan. We eventually found it, checked in and were shown to this room which had clothes and crap of the other 5 american boys everywhere. We literally had to jump over things to get into our beds and to make things even a bit worse the window was smashed so it was freezing! Anyway we caught a couple of hours sleep before heading into town to try and sort out something to do over the next few days. We had decided that we definitely wanted to go to Macchu Picchu but with hundreds of options we just didn't know which one to take. Anyway after ummming and ahhhing all day we finally decided that we would book onto a whitewater rafting trip for 3 days and attempt to conquer Macchu Picchu without a guide….well why not?! We had run out of time to book it all so we both ended up getting an early night and would sort it out in the morning.
