5th AugI woke up, went for the most scenic wee I have ever been for and got bitten on my bum by sandflies! The sandflies are awful and have covered us both from head to foot in the most itchy bites in the world! Any open flesh is a target!Breakfast was lovely and probably the best Ive had in Peru with fresh fruit, yoghurt and scrambled eggs. We tackled some massive rapids today; it was so hair raising at times but bloody good fun. We stopped for lunch after about 4 hrs of rafting and the in the afternoon carried on for another couple of hours to our next secluded beach campsite. The food the guys cooked was amazing and after eating and getting nice and sleepy we settled down for what has to be the most uncomfortable nights sleep yet. Sand under a tent is like sleeping on rocks but we are sleeping in the middle of nowhere under the beautiful and clear sky so im not going to complain!
