We had decided to go and check out the local town and so afetr
breakfast we jumped on the bus and headed there. We quickly realised
there really wasnt much to see in this town but managed to stumble apon
a small zoo. I managed to get completely freaked out by the snake
(although didnt actually see it) and we got to see a jaguar and some
other cool anaimals. It was free so not too bad. That afternoon we
headed out to the local dam (the biggest source of hydoelectric power
in the world). I had my student card and so managed to get in for half
price and mike fluttered his eye lashes and got in for half price even
without his card. It was really quite impressive (if a bit boyish) but
I enjoyed it. The Dam powers 90% of Paraguays energy and 10% of brazils
which is amazing. The dam is spread across brazil and paraguay and so
we have now officially been to 7 countries in 2 months (well mike went
to 6 and he was too lazy to get out of the boat in colombia). I am not
sure I will ever do so much in so little time again. Its been crazy!
