It was our final day in San Pedro as we had booked ourselves onto a 3 day jeep tour up to bolivia. We decided to go sandboarding in the dunes not far from the town and so hired some bikes and sandboards and headed out to the desert. we arrive in san pedro in the afternoon and somehow after chatting to the crazy americans decided we would all go grab a hostel together. We managed to find this really cute little place with hammocks and hot showers! what more could we want! We decided to cut our losses in southern chile as the weather was just too bad and it was so damn expensive to do anything and head up north. We booked onto a bus for the afternoon and heading out of town slightly to go and see the statue of mary overlooking the city. It was definately worth the time and money as we got to see amazing views of the city and it made both of us so much happier then we had been.
