Well with the hangovers finally gone we were off whitewater rafting today. We had to go off to the market to pick up some shoe....we are still absolutely useless at bartering but we each manged to find something. We were meant to get picked up at 1pm and finally in true peruvian style they picked us up at 3pm and we set off into the mountains to the river. It was great fun trying fit into the worlds most unflattering wet suits, put on helmets and life jackets and after the safety talk we set off down the river. Somehow mike and I ended up at the front so we had to lead everyone in the boat which was interesting at times!

The river was great for a first taste of the sport and we tackled loads of grade 2 and 3s and a good few grade 4s. One particular grade 4 was crazy and we had to go down this massive waterfall....such an adrenaline rush!

That evening we met dan for dinner and went for a chinese followed by far too much ice cream (the boys used their charm to get the best flavours and I ended up with 2 really gross ones) then really good coffee and finally we ended up in the local irish bar and played pool on the worlds hardest table ever. It was just a great night. I think Dan has made a massive impression on both of us and will def be someone to meet up with when we get back.
