We got the ferry from Dover at about 1pm, and watched the white cliffs fade into the haze. The ferry trip doesn't take long so we were soon in Calais and dropped into town to change some money (dropping in is not easy for a massive orange truck!). The best part so far is the look on people's faces... "what the hell is that big orange thing?"

Well it's only a few days before departure day now and my second last day of work. Things have been relatively quiet since we moved to Whitton, but now things are getting frantic again while we pick up the last few things we need and start saying farewell to people. The journey has begun.. with a small step to start with! We've now managed to disperse all of our accumulated stuff and have moved to a room in a pub at Whitton.
