Up at 6 for breakfast this morning. Not looking forward to being in the cook group, they had to get up at 5! We were on the road by 7 and heading across the flat Belgian countryside. Then we turned east again and into the more interesting rolling countryside and forests of Germany. Today was a big driving day. We stopped for lunch at a supermarket just before Cologne and headed on through the afternoon until about 6:30pm, when we tried a couple of different campsites that wanted too much money. Eventually we stopped in a field beside the road. It doesn't have any fences but i'm sure it belongs to someone.. we'll be gone early though and no-one will be the wiser, as long as the farmer doesn't drive past on the way home or something!
