Well, it's 4 in the morning, and jet lag has well and truly kicked in. Oh well, at least I can get my thoughts together about the coming fortnight. As you can probably imagine, I am excited at what I am going to see, but also as is common with me at this stage in the holiday, also slightly apprehensive. As I sit and type my thoughts here, am sitting on my hotel balcony listening to the wind run through the palm trees, (I suppose there could be worse ways to endure jet lag). Not sure what I am going to get up to today, one train of thought is to take a leisurely boat ride down the river, (will have to leave the hotel at 7.00am though). Wasn't sure last night whether I would see that time in the morning, but as it stands it looks very much like I will. Otherwise may take a taxi into the nearby fishing village of Negombo and have a look round. Oh well, going to try and have another go at sleeping this jet lag off, so bye for now, will update you on my progress later.
