We made our way from The Lion's Den quite early and thought we'd stay at a free camp about 5 hours away. After about 3 hours we had already arrived a the free camp, so we decided to continue! At about 3pm we arrived at Mount Surprise and what a surprise it was!!

We met Rusself, the owner, as he walked past us with his pet snake Clancy. He puts on free snake shows for his guests and tour groups that pass through. We enjoyed an hour show and got to hold the snake too! Andy was nervous (not a fan of snake) but it was pretty awesome! Charli went crazy when the snake was around our necks, but when it was on the ground, she didn't really care about it! So funny.

We went for a small walk through the town and I saw the school. It was so tiny with only 10 students! They need to keep it above 8 students otherwise it will be shut down. :(

We enjoyed a lovely meal of lemon chicken and got an early night. Off to Normanton tomorrow!!
