Well, we can say that so far, Agnes Water has been our favourite place!
The day we left Tin Can Bay our car was dead, so we jump started the car and we were on our way. We stopped twice on the way and the car re-started with no problem. We thought the issue was solved, until we stopped the car in the drive way of the caravan park. We checked in and then couldn't start the car again! ahhh!! We knew then that this was a problem that was going to need $$ We weren't even on our site yet! :(
This was when we met our neighbour for our stay, Shakey. He drove his car straight over and jumped our car...again! After we parked the van, we had a lovely chat with this guy. We found out that he has worked at the park for about 2 years and lives there too. He was definately a character!! The days he wasn't working he had a VB in hand by about 9am (and they were the beers we saw him consume). He was a funny guy who told it as it was and didn't really care what people thought of him. He definintely made our time at Agnes Water enjoyable.
Our site was beautiful where we could see the beach and ocean from our chairs. The beach was dog friendly and we went for walks twice a day. The rest of the park was just lovely!! It had a really nice feeling to it and everyone was really nice and always up for a chat. We met some younger couples that we enjoyed talking to and the married couple that ran the cafe/bar were so nice and made us feel very welcome!
Back to the car...after we called RACQ and they came to the park, we found out that we needed a new battery. Thank goodness it was only that!
We also went down to the town of 1770 and had a look around there. It didn't last long though as we wanted to get back to our amazing caravan park and chat to the nice people!!! haha
That's all we really did there...meet people, go to the beach and enjoy the park. I wonder if another park will beat this one!!??
