Half an hour away from Cooktown is a cool place called The Lion's Den. It's a great pub with heaps of character. We chose a non-powered site and set up for one night. After a little rest we went for a swim in the fresh water river next to the camp.

We were a litle hesitant, even though everyone said there were no crocs in there. After a little while we relaxed and followed Charli in. It was so lovely and cool, which was nice compared to the heat of the sun!!

After the swim we left Chali in the van and went to the pub for dinner. It was really nice and relaxed.
