The first thing we did this morning was catch the subway to the HI hostel to see if we could get booked in there from Saturday onwards as they were advertising a good package on the CN Tower, Niagra Falls and 2 nights accommodation. I asked if we could have a look round. The hostel itself wasn't actually that nice- the rooms were really overpriced and the package wasn't actually as good as it appeared to be so we extended our stay at this hostel instead. As it stands we are here until next Friday.
After that we walked over to the Textile Museum of Canada. Luckily with our International Youth cards we were able to get in for $6.00, otherwise it would have been $15.00 and coming out afterwards we both agreed that it wasn't worth $15.00! It was nice but there wasn't a great deal inside, plus the 3rd floor was closed as it's being prepared for an upcoming exhibition so there was only one floor for us to look around. The lady at the front desk did give us a complimentary return admission ticket for when the 3rd floor re-opens but I don't think we'll be in Toronto at that point.
After that we were due to meet one of our room-mates (a really nice Australian girl called Emily) at Kensington Market so we headed off there. It's located in the heart of China Town and kind of had that Camden feel to it but not as big and not as good! We saw some more people filming some programme again today too!
We weren't there for too long before walking back downtown. We had a little look around some of the shops and then headed back.
We're both getting frustrated because although the hostel has 2 computers with free internet, one is never working and we can't seem to get updated with our blogs- I'm about a week behind now and the fast uploader won't work so I've got no chance of doing my photos! We really need to find an internet cafe soon!
