What a great night's sleep I had. The bed was so comfortable :) Whether that's because I spent the previous 2 nights on a bus I don't know. We had a well deserved lazy morning before walking downtown to the city centre which took around half an hour. It's a nice city but hasn't wowed me yet. I think I was expecting more. Even when I caught a glimpse of the CN Tower I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. That may all change when we actually head over to it and go up it.
We saw people filming down one of the streets so went over and had a look at that. I asked someone who was watching and apparently it was for some new cop show called 'Rookie Blue'. Thought that was quite cool though.
We carried on through downtown all the way to the harbour front where you can look across and see Toronto Island. It was lovely and peaceful there with the beautiful Autumn colours on the trees- a big change from the bustle of the city only 10 minutes away.
When we were about to head back to the hostel it started absolutely chucking it down and was incredibly windy so we decided we'd try and navigate the subway system.
Once back we popped to 'No Frills' supermarket that has the yellow branded 'No Name' items that we like so much! :)
Not sure what we're going to do tomorrow- maybe check out one of the many museums they have here.
