Unfortunately, last night we heard that Dad had been taken to hospital with difficulty breathing, so we were a bit anxious about what the day would bring. Praise God, he was sent home, so that meant we were able to see him and give him a hug straight away.
So, we left Benarkin early so that we would arrive at Mum & Dad's for morning coffee time. We drove right up onto their front lawn with the van still attached and were excited to see their surprised faces - although a few of them had an idea that we might arrive earlier and unannounced!
Mum had made a vanilla slice too, so we had a lovely time catching up with our lovely family, Mum & Dad, Felicity, Tim, Kane & Nicole and the kids!
Then it was off again to see our house and start the job of moving back in! Thanks Pete & Nat for taking care of the place for us and also great to see Andrew later in the day and share a meal together. Michael will arrive on Saturday for his week of army leave, so at least we'll have 2 of our boys together for some family time!
We will have a lot to do now with cleaning and sorting out the car and van - all that red dirt that's found it's way into every gap, and also moving back into our home after living in one room for over a year!
Thanks to our God and Savior for enabling us to be able to explore such a wonderful country that He created, and for giving us health and safety during this time. We have met some wonderful people along this journey, some to share a meal, drink or walk with, and others that we have kept in touch with from all over Australia. We have grown in our faith and love for God, others and this land and have learnt so many new things about life and ourselves - ready to start a new chapter!
