Today was the first day of our new tour which as you would've figured out means new people, new leader and new sights to see. We started off with a biggy, maybe the biggest most famous attraction in the UK, Stonehenge. It was unfortunately teeming down and very windy so we only did a quick lap but it was worth it. It is a very interesting sight with a lot of history so it was lucky Sally bought a book on it cause I don't remember a thing. Our next stop was Salisbury where the big cathedral is. It's quite pretty and the town itself is lovely and it has one of the original seventeen copies of the Magna Carta (there are only four left in the world). The writing was so small and detailed it was quite extraordinary. We then had a stop in Widicombe on the Moor for Devonshire tea, it was delightful. We also saw lots of Devon ponies and stuff, that was apparently interesting. Plymouth was next on our itinerary and we saw the Mayflower steps where the Mayflower (the ship of puritans who settled America) set sail as well as heaps of other ships including the First Fleet with convicts to Australia and the Bounty of "Mutiny of the Bounty" fame. So a busy day, but fulfilling. A quick note on the group, the Americans are LOUD! Quite annoying really
