Remember The Alamo! That was today's message. We rose about half past 8 and went to get breakfast at McD's. It was ok. We were planning to go and see the Legends of Flight at the IMAX but it wasn't on due to the release of Harry Snotter.
Dad was desperate to see it so we went. It was ok, I'm not really one for that type of film but the 3D effects were really good. After that we headed to see the Alamo.
The Alamo is an old mission where the battle between the us and the Mexicans, led by Santa Anna, fought and the the US were defeated. In the memorial you can take a self guided or audio tour around the fort and in the shrine itself. It is worth a visit as it has good history but it is very warm to walk around.
The food court at the Riverwalk Mall is a good place to get something to eat. It has everything from Starbucks to Chinese and Italian. After a filling lunch the Hotel was the next destination to get out of the hot sun. I went for a swim which was good.
At half 7 the San Antonio Rose Classic Country Show at the Aztec Theatre. It is a tourist show but the musicians are top notch and it has a selection of some of the most popular country songs. Definitely worth seeing , tickets are around $25 each.
Another good day done, still got a bruised shoulder from the AK-47. Tomorrow it look like we will be Mexico for a visit. Watch this space to find out if we survive. Only kidding. That's all for now, more tomorrow.
