We have spent the last 2 days in Jodhpur as known as; 'the blue city' because many of its buildings are painted a beautiful sky blue. Apparently the blue has 2 useful qualities; as well as helping keep the house cool in summer it also repels insects.
It's amazing how much the landscape changed on the way to Jodhpur we went from proper desert, barren and flat, to much greener and many more hills.
After a short walk around the area close to our hotel and a rooftop dinner on our first night. We got up on our full day in Jodhpur and walk up to the very impressive hill top fort and palace. We splashed out and got the audio guide (£5/$8) including camera fee and entrance. The audio guide was pretty good I actually learnt quite a lot about this fort and palace, forts and palaces in Rajasthan, and the history of India! Ange was over it fairly quickly but she had been feeling very well since the previous night. The view from the top of the fort and the fort was very impressive (see photo)!
