We arrived in Pushkar Christmas Day evening and walked from our hotel into town for something to eat then sent messages home and around the world.
Pushkar is easily one of the smallest places we have stayed ( population <20,000 ) but there were more western tourists here than anywhere else.
The next morning after having to change rooms, waiting ages for the most pathetic attempt at a breakfast and washing our clothes and putting them out to dry, we got another motorbike and headed out for a day exploring.
Once again we decided to get out into the countryside to visit small villages we the aim of drive as high as possible up one of the many hills that surrounded Pushkar.
We drove and got lost as usual and found our way to some awesome spots the first was a temple about half way up a hill in the middle of nowhere we walk further up the hill for some great views.
In the villages we drove through again people stared and this time children wanted high fives, nearly pulling Ange off the bike on several occasions.
We also drove out to Pushkar old lake, a very strange dried up lake surrounded by what looked an amphitheater with temples. There were some well off India's who of course wanted their picture taken with us. We have started doing stupid poses with them now, to keep ourselves entertained!
We finished with a drive around the town before taking in our now dry washing and going out for dinner, we attempted an Italian which wasn't bad but curry is getting a little old but the alternatives just aren't as a good!
