This morning we planned to go out to the National Park and walk The Loop and Z Gorge. So packed lunch and water and headed out the 30 odd klms to The Loop. The famous "Nature's Window" was the beginning of the walk. After getting off to a bad start - I forgot the water - Gerry had to go back to car park to fetch it. The entire walk to Natures Window and on to the Loop walk is around 9 klms (class 4) so Gerry actually did an extra one - 10 klms. It was a lovely walk even though tough going in spots and long - it took around 3 hours. We saw lots of fish in the river - thousands of them, swans, lots of birds - even a red capped robin which sat patiently while we took photos. We ate lunch at the car park and drove on to a lookout which gave a spectacular view of the gorge and landscape. Chatted to some nice folk there and then went on to the Z gorge. Had to walk another 1.2 klms so by the time we got back to Kalbarri I had sore feet and tired legs. I cooked a cake and we had showers and had a bit of a rest before cooking prawns and veg sate stir fry and rice for dinner - very nice. Watching a bit of TV tonight.
