This morning we got up early and before breakfast we walked up to the weather station and watched the balloon get launched and listened to a very interesting talk about the weather station. This is the main one in Australia and in the future may become automated. At present there are four full time staff. We were all starving so had brekky and headed off on our way to Warburton. Barney and Lyn have had lots of trouble with their van. After a bit of a worry with the Patrol, it has not given any more trouble thank goodness. We made it to Warburton for lunch after seeing a large herd of camel along the way. The road is still not bad with mild corrugation. We have now pulled up on the side of the road to make camp for the night. A hot shower was welcome! Red dust is the order of the day as we head further west. Last night was not so cold - only 3.5 degrees.
