Off to the Newark Air Museum, which was brilliant for a couple of reasons. Firstly their array of planes is different to most other museums, where else will you see an Avro Shackelton, Vulcan and a HP Hastings or some many Gloster Meteors?  Secondly many of them are outside witch makes for good photographs, although the weather makes them look a bit tired and must mean a huge maintenance bill. Thirdly their interior displays include pieces of historical aircraft artefacts ie and Upkeep Bomb, various bits of Lancasters, Ansons and B29s. Finally their shop has a huge amount of models and unique books on all sorts of planes. If you are up this way it is well work a visit.
