24 hours after leaving home we have arrived in Gatwick. It's a long walk from the A380 terminal to customs, but have to say loved the air bridge that goes over the taxiway, interesting looking down on a jet as it passed underneath. Customs was straight forward and proves that having a non UK passport is not a hinderance especially when you see the UK/Europe line has a couple of hundred people in it yet the "foreigners" one we are in has about 100. 0230 start and then 11 hours on a plane to Dubai. I would have said the plane was only half full as we had a whole row of 4 seats to ourselves. The bad news was this had to be the most bumpiest ride I have ever had in a plane and it would have been like that for round 8 of the 11 hours.
