Southwell Ploughing Show is on today which I am sure Dad and Lynsey would have loved to have seen. The Shire Horse ploughing teams looked fantastic and the old tractors would have had Dad reminiscing for hours. Other than that it was a typical rural show with looks of tents flogging local produce, machinery ones selling tractors and everything in between. They did have a group of riders doing a jousting show which was entertaining and the riders had great riding ...

Off to the Newark Air Museum, which was brilliant for a couple of reasons. Firstly their array of planes is different to most other museums, where else will you see an Avro Shackelton, Vulcan and a HP Hastings or some many Gloster Meteors?  Secondly many of them are outside witch makes for good photographs, although the weather makes them look a bit tired and must mean a huge maintenance bill. Thirdly their interior displays include pieces of historical aircraft...
