Dragged Mum and Dad to the RAF Museum at Hendon today. Something I had wanted to see since going there as a kid. Obviously a great range of planes and artefacts although I found it a little disappointing in that they keep the lighting subdued (I assume so that it reduces damage to paint work and hence maintenance costs) which means everything is dull and it is hard to take photos. The Imperial War Museum displays up at RAF Duxford that we saw back in 2006 were much better in terms of viewability. Got told off for touching the wing of a Hurricane, I didn't see any signs to say not to and there were no rope boundaries. What do they expect. Could have spent a fortune at the shop though.
