Our first day in the NZ capital was spent at possibly the most interesting museum we have ever been too - Te Papa - lots of games for the immature kates to play and made learning lots of fun. We then headed to the cable care and visited the botanical gardens and rose garden. We took pictures of the amazing view at the highest point - this place has to be the windiest place in NZ!

The rest of our evening was spent bowling and D and R getting rather wasted - Welly is a really good night out - lots of free bubbles (champagne) for the girlies to drink at a bar that had THE best music ever! We didnt get to spend much time here as we were so excited to get to Nelson to see Bennetts mates Rich and Beth yay! Once in Nelson D had to spend the first night in bed to recover from the mahusive night out in Welly but Round and Bennett went to meet them.

Next day we headed off in Wally (rich and beths camper car) to Pelorous Scenic Bridge Reserve, chilled out, had a BBQ and nearly swam in the Pelorous river - too cold - Beth was the only one brave enough to go in - perfect at swimming in cold rivers in every way! The evening was spent having our first meal out at a place called Lambrettas and we all headed back to the hostel - Rich and Beth stayed with us that night, Rich however convinced Bennett to go out drinking - rest of us were too tired to take part.
