On route to Wanaka we stopped at Lake Matheson and saw lots of pretty waterfalls and rapids. The hotel we stayed at in Wanaka had a tv and a bath which was so exciting lol! So spent our first couple of hours watching films and pampering ourselves in the bath.

Wanaka is a ski village - nothing like the european villages as this was a lot more modern but still very beautiful! We spent the eveing exploring the bars and played some pool. We would have liked to spend more time here to explore further but unfortunately could not get on the kiwi bus for another four days if we had of stayed so had to carry on to Queenstown - party and extreme sport capital of the south island! On route to Queenstown we stopped at a place called PUZZLING WORLD! Inside there were lots of things to try you hand at and challenge your eyesight and ideas of perception through fab optical illusions that had us giggling for ages - for example we walked into a room that at one end made you look like a giant but then if you moved to the other side of the room anc compared your size you looked like a complete midget! There was also a puzzling maze to get out of andw e had a race to the first coloured tower - Round came in first closely followed by Bennett - unfortunately D was rather bad at finduing her way and left B and R in stiches wathcing her trying to find her way but not being able to! ha ha!

We left Puzzling world and headed on to Queenstown - wow what a party thats going to be! xxxx
