We left Toowoomba at 8.45 a.m. and headed south towards Warick but turned off just before up towards Canungra. We set up in the camp ground near the river. BIG DISAPOINTMENT I didn't get to Africa, but never mind I have seen a lot more of Q'ld. With Rob & Marge's local knowledge, they have taken me to lovely pincins in the mountains. Once up to Sommerset Dam and then on to Mt. Glorious, where we did a lovely walk through the forrest. Have had some lovely weather during the days. Went for a picnic up to Bunya Mountain. This a very pretty spot, walk through the forrest in the mud. There are quite a few chalets and B/B up there, it would be lovely to stay for a few days. Just to let you know that I take off on Friday so will not do a blog for 3 weeks. Getting very excited. Since arriving in Toowoomba I have be having a relaxing time, just doing some local sight seeing and walking. There is moountain in Toowoomba called Table Top and it look interesting to climb, so one day Rob, myself and his 3 grandchildren set off. Finally I have reached Toowoomba and am staying with Rob & Marge. I did 5 days travelling staying in little towns on the way down. Now that I have a house to stay in I will be staying here for awhile, and doing very little travelling. The weather has been good but colder than what I'm used to.
