We left Toowoomba at 8.45 a.m. and headed south towards Warick but turned off just before up towards Canungra. We set up in the camp ground near the river. Rob & Marge were able to pitch their tent next to the van so it made it easy for meals etc. Next day we went to Mt. Tamborine which is a small tourist town. However we did a couple of lovely bush walks. The weather turned cold and windy when were up there, and when we got back to the van to find they had had a couple of big gusts which damaged my awing, ripping an arm off the caravan braket and tearing some of the canvas. Nothing can be done until after the weekend. Sunday up to Binna Burra for a picnic and more bush walks. Monday we drove up to Lammington N.P. Thank goodness Rob did the driving in his car as the road was down one lane in many places and hairpin bends. The views where beautiful over looking the valley and the east mountain ranges, then turn the corner and you are looking at the weatern ranges. This really give you the idea of the volcana area forming the magnificent mountain ranges. After lunch Rob & I walked down to the waterfall which was lovely. We then went to the top of the falls where we would walk back to the car park. Some workmen told us of a short cut which was true, but they didn't tell use it was steep up hill all the way. Anyway we had a well deserved afternoon tea when we got back to the cafe. On the move again tomorrow.
