I travelled south from the Grampions following the Murray river down to Tailtem Bend, then turned east into Victoria. Stayed the night at Border Town finally making my way to Sunbury to rest up for a few weeks. Will move on again the end of Jan.

Leaving Barossa I travelled to the Grampions coming in at the northern entrance. This is the area that was burnt out 2 years ago. The caravan park I stayed at had the home and office destroyed but none of the cabin or the park area burnt. It was very interesting to see the new growth in the trees and ground vegitation. Another area of lots of walking to water falls and gorges. The day I left an area near here had bush fires again, so I just out in time.

Whilst I was at Sunbury my niece took me to some lovely little towns around the area. Up to Gisborn with lovely homes and gardens. Over to Daylesford which has a beautiful lake, which we walked around. This is a realy tourist town particularly for the Melbourne folk for the weekend. After leaving Apolla Bay we continuted along the Great Ocean road did the ring road of Geelong and headed for Sunbury (suburb of Melbourne) where my niece lives. Back at Mt. Gambier the weather wasn't all that kind, but we had plenty to see. Our caravan park was just down the road from the Blue Lake, so we saw it many time going in and out. Because of the weather it wasn't that bright blue that you expect but still colourful. There was a big dog show on so we wondered about seeing all shapes and sizes of dogs.
