Hi All, Well Townsville has been another experience. To get to the caravan park once again I took the tourist route through the middle of town. An hour and half later I found it. That night we had very strong winds and heavy rain, so not much sleep was had. Next day was windy and overcast, but I thought I had better find my way around the town. I finally managed to do some sight seeing at Castle Hill and the Strand which is a lovely walk around the bay. Also walk through Queens Gardens which was lovely with all the tropical plants. Townsville is a pretty place with mountains covered in rain forrest so the place is very green and lush.

With the caravan in for service I took the ferry over to Magnetic Island. At least today the sun is shining. You can't travel all around the Island just a few bays, but if you get an all day bus pass, which you can hop on & off as you like, you sure get to see the island. Walked up to the Fort as Magnetic Island played a very important part in WW11. Magnificent views from the top.
