After leaving Canberra I travelled through Wagga Wagga and onto Gindagai with the "Dog on the Tuckerbox" I had forgotten to story behind this, but it was dealing with the bullock trail, and one got stuck. It ended up with the waggon turning over the guy was so angry he decided to have lunch but when he found his tucker box, his dog was sitting on it. There is another interestion sculprure in the park of "Dad,Dave,Mum & Mable" from the radio series of "Dad & Dave."
I did a day trip out to Tumut, that is a pretty place different country out here with green rolling hills and cattle. Tumut has a lovely wetland walk just within the town. From Gundagai I travelled to Hay and stayed one night in a free camp down by the Murumbidgee River, a very popular place. From there I travelled along the Murumbidgee through wide open spaces, then got into cotton country, vine yards and citrus fruits. Had a couple of night just on the east of Mildura now on the Murray River.
