Canberra has turned on beautiful weather, but I need to back track a little. Monday when I was to leave Tathra was wet & miserable, so I stayed another day, happy to be tucked up in the van. Tuesday a lovely day so set off for Canberra. About 10 km. out of Tathra, I heard a bang and then saw a wheel running down the middle of the road. One of the caravan wheels had come off, it was in a hurry to get to Canberra. The caravan didn't sway or do anything unusual, so I was able to pull in off the road. That's when to fun really started with NRMA, tow trucks, etc. To cut a long story short, the NRMA man from Bega came out to asses the situation. As it turned out he fix it on the side of the road within a couple of hours. However I had lost the grease cap and he would be a lot happier if I went into Eden to get another, so off the Eden I went. This turned out to be a blessing as I was able to take a much easier route to Canberra, without climbing Brown Mountain. No the fun didn't finish there, came into Cooma and down it came. Lighting, thunder hail and wind, but the van and I just chugged along and finally got to Canberra at 5 p.m.

Next morning a friend picked me up and as it was a nice morning we set off for Floriade. Unfortunately it is a little early for a lot of the blossoms to be fully out so you can't really picture of the designs, but what was out were beautiful. We did the ferris wheel ride, and you also get a good view of Canberra. The rest of the day she drove me around to see some of the sights. That night we went of dinner with some of her friends.

Next day was a little more relaxed as I did my own thing. Went to the War Memorial, had a look at some of the Embassy's and went to the glass works. That night we went to the musical HAIR very entertaining, well performed.
