Hi again. After leaving Perth we cruised north 218 km to the town of Dalwallinu in the rain for most of the way before blue skies broke through. The motor camp was very nice with modern facilities for a camp in the middle of nowhere town. Waking up to clear blue skies after a cold night and with the promise of 18 deg.we felt ourselves finally slipping back into that holiday mode. After a leisurely breakfast it was time to hit those long never ending roads that just disappear into the distance with not much but scrub and red dust as far as the eye can see. Driving the van again seemed just so easy and brought great memories flooding back from our last trip which makes this all quite exciting again. The kms. seemed to just slip away with clear blue skies with no wind and after 320 km we arrive at the small town of Mt Magnet. The motor camp again looked very good and at $29 for a powered site we booked in for two nights. We awoke this morning to about 2 deg but once the sun came up it did not take long for the condensation to disappear from the windows. After a nice shower and breakfast we went for a walk down the Main Street and got some medicine to try and get rid of my cough which seems so much worse at night. We then went to the Mining Dept where a very helpful lady gave us maps and info on where I could go and try my luck at finding some gold!!!!
