Greetings everyone and welcome to our
winter- escape 2016
The week leading up to our departure was very busy for both of us with lots to organise right up to the last minute.Steph had a couple of mild melt downs while l had another attack of kidney stones, a painful shoulder, 1/2 a double tooth fall off and woke up on the departure day with the onset of a bad cold. Buggar.
The flight to Ak went quite fast and the three hours wait there also disappeared quickly while we had lunch with two friends who meet us there for a Catchup.
The long 7 hour flight on the 787 Dreamliner was also better than expected and after we breezed though customs it was just a 15 minute taxi ride to our down town hotel for a nice cuppa and a early night. We both were knackered ! Next morning after a nice cooked breakfast at the coffee club it was on the train followed by a quick taxi ride to be reacquainted with our beloved motorhome. All my nightmares about finding it full of ants, cockroaches, spiders and mould were unfounded as it was just as we had left it. Fantastic !!!
As I was still full of the cold we found a nice cosy motor camp in Fremantle and after a top up of basic supplies settled in for a quiet afternoon. Setting up my phone and the iPad with minutes and data etc turned into a nightmare but with many trips back to the Telstra shop it was finally sorted. Modern electronics and old minds sometimes don't mix too well ! We could not remember what we had left in the motor home from last trip so as usual we have doubled up on most things and we now have clothes for Africa ! Tomorrows plans are to fully check the motorhome is all ship shape and stocked up ready to hit the road north. So far so good !

Leisa Hi guys, so far so good....hows the cold Chris? Drive safely xx
Stephanie Hi Leisa. Nice to hear from you. Chris finally seems to be getting better no coughing in the night so both managed a good nights sleep. Cheers.
