This is a photo of the view of where we camped at Clairview where the tide goes out for a couple of kms. When we were there it was a full moon and the tide dropped a whopping 6 metres!!!! It was a lovely spot with a rustic bar and bistro serving yummy local seafood. The locals were very friendly but unfortunately so were the mozzies. Hello Hello Next stop heading south was the town of Bowen which you need to turn off the highway to go to. We have bypassed the town on our two previous trips so decided to call in this time. It's a really nice seaside town of about 11,000 people and we found a quiet motor camp right on the seashore. The last blog should have been from Townsville so this should set the map straight. It is from a lookout showing Hinchinbrook Island in the background a huge island off the coast from Cardwell 52km long and 10 km wide. The day was very hot and humid so it was windows up and aircon on while traveling through this very spectacular area.
