Temp: 58 degrees
Saying for the day: Don't worry about getting older, you're still going to do dumb stuff, just slower!
Today is another beautiful day and we'll go on our own this morning and check out downtown: The Co-Op, Quimpers Mercantile, and stop in where Cheryl works at Henry's Plants. A beautiful place with some great flowers, plants, seeds and garden gear.
We head to Cheryl and Russ's for dinner at 5 pm and then to the Fiddle Concert at Fort Whorden. And what a concert it was!! Terrific fun and great music, a fabulous, fabulous concert, WOW! Such talented musicians - we wanted to hear more, after 2 hours of fascinating music with fiddles, banjos and guitars.
After the concert we walked out to the Bluff, still in Fort Whorden, and got our spot on a hill to watch the fireworks and they didn't disappoint!
It was a terrific and fun evening with Russ and Cheryl and some very gifted musicians; topped off with some beautiful fireworks honoring our United States of America!
Here 4 more nights.
Next stop: Illahee State Park, Bremerton, WA, SW of Bangor

Bob Chamberlin Friends, fun, and fireworks. Sounds like a great way to have celebrated yesterday.
Russ Stamp So glad you have been able to see this beautiful place we get to call home. You two have given us the inspiration for us to do what you are doing when we are able to retire. It's been a pleasure to read your blog and talk about all the ins and outs of traveling for extended periods.
June Chamberlin I sure wish I'd been there for the concert!! Sounds fantastic!!
