Day 38:
A delightful day of socialising with the relatives: Gary and Kim, Terry and Dylan, Nic and Zoe, Rhianne and Devan. Yummy lunch as always from the Kim kitchen and just a catch-up. Games organised by a 6-year-old small fry (Devan) and lots of laughter with how to get gumnuts into buckets of varying sizes. Wally was surely cheating or getting the bucket closer to him than anyone else. Storm helping of course by eating any random gumnuts. So much for expensive toys this was way more fun. Thank you, dear ones, always so very good to see you.
Day 39:
Organised some months ago for a luncheon date with my dear friends Gail and Ross. Met each other in a school playground 33 years ago approx.. and although on other sides of the country for 32.5 years I still feel so comfortable with these good friends. A beautiful lunch also, thank you Gail, and we talked for nearly a solid 6 hours, felt only like half an hour. Being former caravanners they, of course, understand the trials, tribulations and joys of this life on the road and know of all the places we have visited. Our girls are of the same age and although emails are our method of contact most of the time we keep on track with each other lives and families. As we caught up with Gail and Ross's visit to NSW earlier in May we got to catch up twice this year, wow, that is a record - wish it could be more. Much love and hugs to you both, fabulous to see you two also.
So, we leave Rockingham today, we have not even been down to the beautiful foreshore, driven past it numerous times but we just were flat out being social. Our fellow caravanners probably thought our van abandoned as we have only been in to sleep and then out again as soon as possible next day. Onto Karridale, south of Margaret River - may have to stop for coffee or something interesting. So, more socialising tonight with Wally's niece, Michelle and partner Kell, always a hoot to catch up with these two. Haven't taken any pics, meant to with both lots of relatives and friends - too much talking and laughing happening I suppose.
Love to all others. xxx
