Day 7: An early start on our sightseeing although really windy looked like a good day to head into the Gawler Ranges. We knew there would be dirt roads but 180 kms of them was a trifle much and the condition was deplorable. Poor Fonz, thought he was going to give up and leave us stranded, I may have joined in the boycott if there was any chance of help getting to us, no phone reception just nothing. Day 6: Wonderful blue-sky day and slightly warmer in the scheme of things. We left Quorn and headed the 40 kms to Port Augusta on our way again. More food for the starving Fonz, we are filling the car everyday and it is on empty when this happens so we worked out we are going thru $85 in diesal and another $35 in caravan costs - not cheap these days to caravan.
