We can happily announce that one of the spoons has started to poop regularly again... And we can also announce that we uploaded some pictures from Bonito! Third day in Bonito, had to spend one extra day then planned coz the vehicle that were s´posed to take us to Pantanal broke down. Vehicle/bus/car thingy is fixed and tomorrow @ 6 am we´re on our way and gonna spend the next 4 days in The Pantanal among caymans, alligators, anacondas, jaguars and mosquitos. Damn the mozzies, counting bites will take hours.
Bonito has been amazing, truly an ecotourists paradise. It´s low season now, so there´s mostly brazilian tourists. Hardly any other backpackers at all. We´ve done a lot of activities (see pics) and have had a great time here. Staying at Hostel Ecological Expeditions, and as much as it is cheap, it´s kinda a u get what u pay for hostel. That´s why we have a rotten roof so when it rains the whole roof starts dripping. Awesome... It´s run by the most laidback guy we´ve met, absolutely no worries there. Nice place overall.
The best thing we´ve done here is def the snorkling in Rio Sucuri. It´s just like a natural aquarium with lotsa fishys. The water is incredibly clear, outstanding. We also visited Gruta do Lago Azul (or something), but a bit boring as much as it was nice too see.
Alligator is on the menu in almost all restaurants, and it tastes fantastic! Sort of a cross tween chicken and fish. Funky indeed, but oh so good... U can also get turtle, piranha, dinosaur (not extinct after all!!?) and other smooth foods.
Well, that´s a quick update before we dissappear into The Pantanal... Hopefully we will see them dinosaurs. And oh ye, we´re on day 4 as illegal immigrants! S´posed to get our entrystamp in Campo Grande in 4 days. Not to worry ;)
