The two silky smooth and deliciously dark spoons has spent the last few days at Hope's Inn Rehabilitation Center on Carriacou Island of Grenada... It's not actually a rehab center, but we more or less forced ourselves to some healthy treatment. Afterall we have to keep our beautifully shaped spoonbodies perfectly alligned. Union Island was a hell lotta fun, but also a hell lotta beer...
You can see Carriacou from Union, but getting there is def not as easy as it might appear to be. Captain Troy runs a ferry service, Jasper, and might leave on Mondays and Thursdays... But then again, it might also be broken or just not running at all. As the swim over to Carriacou is to far, and the spoons would probably have drowned, we decided to pay Captain Troy a visit. We were told that we would find him in Ashton, so we did a light, but very heavily breathed jog over to that town. Arriving somewhat 40 mins later in Ashton the spoons were devastated to hear that Captain Troy had left for Clifton. Guess were we live!? So we caught our breath and sprinted back to Clifton. Air was flowing through the spoons hair, the pace was incredible. 30 mins later we found ourselves back in Clifton... Where was Captain Troy? It took us a few more mins to locate him, and luckily to our satisfaction he told us that the ferry was indeed running tomorrow. We got our papers sorted at the immigration office and went out for another outrageous evening at the Twilight Restaurant and Bar!
Arriving Carriacou early morning we headed straight down to Hope's Inn (Rehab) located at Paradise Beach in L'Esterre... TV in our room!!! We haven't had the chance to watch TV in ages, and we all know that TV is a huge necessity in a spoons everyday life... But now, the spoons are afraid to go swimming as we watched, Kraken - Tentacles of the Deep, a terrible documentary of a very real seamonster. We know as a fact that the Kraken resides in these waters since we have seen it on another real life documentary, Pirates of the Caribbean. Kraken swallows a whole boat there, no wonder the spoons are afraid. Last night was a full moon, and we think we might have seen him out at sea, but it could also just be Nessie on vacation from Scotland.
Getting back to our rooms after an exhausting night rehabbing, we were scared to see that a huge man with a machete lurked around our apartment. No sleep that night... A man with a machete is a spoons worst nemesis! We took shifts sleeping and watching over the walking machete, and survived yet another night.
Now we're waiting for the ferry to take us down to the main island, the ferry is so big, so we reckon the Kraken won't eat that. Tomorrow we're flying out from St. Georges... next destination, Narnia...
