at such speeds, thing's fly...
Day 15
There once was a boy who built a flying machine. He was a quiet boy and no one ever paid him much attention, with the one exception of his great grandmother. She was a kind old lady, with little glasses over her part asian eyes, though the boy never knew where the asian part came from. He loved his great grandmother, and she in turn adored him.
He spent every day perfecting his flying machine. It was a huge majestic thing in the shape of a large sea boat, with three giant sails and the head of a dragon in the front swooping up over a long wooden neck. It was as if his flying machine resembled a giant flying beast, and took the air calmly and fierce. He had a purpose though was unsure of what it was. He just knew one day he would leave and say farewell. He would use his flying machine to fly far away in search of things great. He would sail over giant lands and come across old loves, beloved and lost friends and even deceased family members.
He wasn't sure what he was looking for, and he was scared to go, and even cried tears when he left. But his great grandmother smiled and ran to him in his ship with food and pirate booty in little plastic bags, and all with a smile on her little wrinkled face. For she was the only one who understood that little boys need adventure.
He was also prepared, for he knew "it" was out there too. "It" was mean and hurtful and would surely kill him first. For "it" was hungry, and cruel, and black as night and made with parts ugly where smoke billowed from "its" limbs.
So, the boy brought chains, and shackles along. He formed them onto a big rectanglular plank of wood, where he would trap the ugly "it" and decide "it's" demise. He would trap the "it" though not kill "it." For all good things must always battle their equal bad thing.
He sailed on strong, scared and unsure, but certain this was where he was meant to be...

We woke up to yet another beautiful morning at lake Tahoe. We walked about the lake and grounds of tahoe city, and slowly left for South Tahoe. The road there was awesome, and the Lake itself is huge and beautiful. Truly a beautiful place. Ill upload pics later.
We were then riding a huge loop south to Sonora and back. The first section down is called 'Ebbets pass' and was just an amazing ride through mountains and forests. We paralleled a river for most, and came across many lakes. The road itself was a serpentine of switchbacks and inclines and declines. Definitely a bikers dream road.
We stopped halfway for lunch at a small burger joint, and then took the Northern pass back up. Sonora pass, was equally amazing. We actually climbed up to over 10,000 feet. I believe it is now safe to turn on your approved electronic devices! At one point we stopped to take pictures and looking way over into the canyon saw a helicopter flying BELOW us. Was amazing.
So the whole ride through the Sierra pass was just beautiful and superb riding! We ended up in bridgeport, California, which is really just a speck on the map, but works for us for tonight. It also is giving me NO phone reception so will hopefully text all of u back tomorrow sometime.
Tomorrow we ride into Yosemite, and will stop a bit north of Death valley.
252 miles today, all in sun!
3,714 miles so far
