Day 78 (day 5)
A hunka hunka burning love
Al and I spent the night on old route 66 in Arizona. Which was pretty cool. A small town and a tiny little strip left over from its heyday. but so awesome! Apprently most of the old route 66 towns have all gone away, so being able to stay the night in one was pretty cool indeed.
We woke up today and as we were getting ready and loading up our bikes the weird little indian motel owner was snooping about and being awfully rude and creepy. It was like he was trying to rush us out of the motel, which was fine with us, since it stunk and the heater didnt work for ass. Ugh! the fun of mote-ing it across the country. haha
Anyway, we rode west on old route 66 for quite awhile and finally got to the hoover dam. Now mind you I already rode through the dam a few days ago, but didnt stop. so...we stopped and took the tour. It was actually pretty cool, and the weather was perfect. come to think of it, we've had perfect riding weather this whole part of the trip.
After the dam, we rode to Vegas baby! Found this motel even cheaper the my motel 6 exeprience. $19.99 and actually was pretty nice.
After we checked in, we set off to cruise the Vegas strip on our bikes. How cool is that? Well it was pretty freaking cool. We must have rode up and down the strip 5 or 6 times. It just never got old. Heck...We even saw Elvis, and I yelled to him and hot a wave and a thumbs up! AWESOME!
This was our final night together, and a great way to end this little 3 day adventure. Al was flying back to Philly tomorrow, and I was riding back to New Mex.
