Big "troy treat out"
I'm at Mamalouka: to describe my arrival as opulent is understated. It's a hidden garden gem right in centre of Mykonos Town. Remember the days where 5 people attended your table? The good old days! This is it! And more! Recommended by Kostas from the bar at Geranium. He said; ask for Enriquez (gay) and he will serve you best and freshest catch today!
Started with a fresh crisp and Devine Greek wine. White. They are actually fruity and refreshing! Along with this comes zingy olives and freshly baked Pita bread with some sweet tasting dip! (This would be enough) but, it's not!
The crayfish salad is so fresh and fragrant and bursting with flavours that almost sing the Aegean...which is actually less than 100 metres away! Ts combined with greens and god knows what Greek herbs. But! Wow!
Main course amazing Sea Bream with fresh and amazing crisp vegetables. Today's catch!
Only marred by a cute Italian couple and their adorable young offspring deciding to scream and I thought my night was ruined. Yet: he calmed down and was just 120% adorable (like daddy!)
Kostas! Thanks for the local tip. Suppose I had to be one of the "in" set for Enrique to take any care or personal attention. But, being gay. I get it! Still a brilliant experience!
Let me just explain: the dining experience I've had tonight is not the "typical" and cheap/slash/value experience available on each corner. I'd totally recommend it, although for the same or better I think I'd have enjoyed just as much!
Cheers Mamalouka! Enjoyed immensely but wouldn't rave or recommend!
