When we returned from our trip up North we fully intended to head back Over seas via China, but a quick look at the real estate boom, and our dwindling money pool convinced us we should re enter the real world for a while. We looked at various things, from joining an existing business in Broome to buying a business in Horrocks, then Northampton, various options through the Great Southern, then Parkerville, then Stoneville.
At the last moment we grabbed a brain and realized we did not want to tie ourselves down to a business again. We had already begun house hunting and put in a few bids without success when we spotted one while driving through Stoneville. We stopped only to find there was a contract on the house and another buyer filling one in as we looked. We decided what the hell and put a third offer on, which was accepted.
Once we had adjusted to being property owners again, we realized it needed a bit of work, so Avan set out to tidy the place up and put in a shed. (What happened to "I'll never renovate again?). Heather applied for and got a job with Dymocks Booksellers.
In the meantime we had also spotted some good couple's job opportunity's in the Pilbara, and as we were thinking the cold in Stoneville was not really our cup of tea, we were very pleased to be offered the position of managing Bayview in Coral Bay.
This meant a sudden flurry of activity to get the shed completed, so that we could store the worldly possessions we had again accumulated. The shed took longer than expected (why were we not surprised) and we had to delay our start date in Coral Bay by two days. So the night the shed was finished we moved our stuff in and headed off the next morning.
